After performing our own Nativity this week, we were delighted to be invited to watch Year 6 perform their Living Nativity. We started in the Adventure Playground and followed the story round to the Show Lawn. We loved the Year 6’s acting and singing as well as the real life donkey, sheep and camels. Thank you so much Year 6 and well done!
We had a wonderful time watching The Year 6 Living Nativity. We loved walking around to the different parts of the story. The highlight was meeting the real donkey, sheep and of course the camels! What a fantastic way to finish of a brilliant week.
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
The girls enjoyed their first hockey match away at St Andrew’s, Pangbourne today. They put in maximum effort and did us all proud. Thank you to Miss Fuller and Miss Futcher for taking us as well as the teachers and children at St Andrew’s for being so welcoming.
Hawks enjoyed making circuits in Science with Mrs Cox!
Yesterday, we had a great afternoon at our first fixture against St George’s School. It was so good to see the children displaying many of the Holme Grange learning habits and having such a great time. Miss Harrison and Mrs Stewart enjoyed joining in too! The children were excited to make new friends during the match tea and look forward to seeing them again at the return fixture. Well done Year 2 and thank you to the Sport Department for organising the fixture!
Today we designed a picture with fruit and vegetables in mind. We then had fun making the pictures using fruit and vegetables.
To link in with Diwali, we enjoyed making our own Rangoli Patterns using natural objects.
Mrs Poland took us outside in art today. We looked at all the different shaped leaves, and then chose one to sketch in our lesson.
This morning we made jam sandwiches in class. On Monday we will be writing up the instructions of how to make them including all the features of instructional writing such as a title, numbers and time connectives. Here are some photos for you to see at home and to remind us what we did at each stage. Some children said that they have made the sandwiches for their parents so we hope you enjoy them!
